Your trust matters to us. This Policy explains how Iron Bound Safety collects, uses, and protects your personal information, and the choices you have about it.

01

Overview

Iron Bound Safety Co. (“Iron Bound,” “we,” “us”) respects your privacy. This Policy explains what we collect, why, how we use and share it, and the rights you have.

It applies to ironboundsafety.com, our online store, enterprise customer portal, and any communications you receive from us. It does not apply to third-party websites we link to.

02

Information We Collect

Information you give us

  • Account details: name, email, company, role, shipping address, phone.
  • Order details: items purchased, sizes, fit notes, billing method.
  • Support communications: messages you send to our team.
  • Enterprise details: purchase orders, tax exemptions, credit references.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and browser data (IP address, user agent, referrer).
  • Usage data (pages viewed, clicks, search terms, session duration).
  • Cookies and similar technologies — see “Cookies” below.

Information from third parties

  • Payment processors, who confirm transactions but do not share full card numbers.
  • Shipping carriers, who provide tracking updates.
  • Fraud prevention services, who flag suspicious activity.
03

How We Use Information

We use personal information to:

  • Process and fulfill orders, including shipping, returns, and warranty claims.
  • Manage accounts, logins, and enterprise portals.
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries.
  • Send order confirmations, shipping notifications, and service messages.
  • Send marketing emails when you have opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Improve our products, site performance, and fit recommendations.
  • Detect fraud, enforce our Terms, and meet legal obligations.
04

How We Share Information

We share information only as needed to run the business:

  • Service providers that help us operate the site, process payments, ship orders, send email, and prevent fraud. They are contractually bound to use your data only for those purposes.
  • Enterprise account administrators who may see order history and roster activity within their own organization’s account.
  • Legal and safety reasons, such as compliance with a lawful subpoena or to protect against fraud.
  • Business transfers — in the event of a merger or acquisition, data may transfer to the successor entity under the same protections.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

05

Cookies and Tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember cart contents, measure site performance, and (with consent) deliver relevant ads. We group them into three categories: Essential (required for the site to work), Analytics (aggregated usage data), and Marketing (personalized promotions and attribution).

Manage each category individually in our Cookie Preference Center. Analytics and Marketing are off by default until you opt in. Every save is recorded in our CCPA audit log — you can download your own history from the Preference Center at any time.

You can also control cookies in your browser settings or through the consent banner we present on first visit. Blocking essential cookies may break certain site features.

06

Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you.
  • Request a copy of your data in a portable format.
  • Opt out of targeted advertising or the sale or sharing of personal information.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Appeal a decision we make about your rights request.

To exercise these rights, email privacy@ironboundsafety.com. We will verify your identity before acting on a request and respond within the timeframes set by applicable law.

07

Data Retention

We keep personal information only as long as we need it to provide the services and meet our legal obligations. Order records are typically retained for seven years to meet tax, warranty, and audit requirements. Marketing data is retained until you opt out or request deletion.

08

Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit, access controls, vendor due diligence, and routine audits. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to reduce risk and will notify you of any material breach affecting your data as required by law.

09

International Transfers

Iron Bound Safety is based in the United States. If you access the site from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. We use Standard Contractual Clauses or other appropriate safeguards when required by applicable law.

10

Children

The site is not directed to children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact privacy@ironboundsafety.com and we will delete it.

11

State-Specific Rights

California (CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have rights to know, delete, correct, and limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA.

Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, and other states

Residents of states with applicable privacy laws may have similar rights, including the right to opt out of targeted advertising. Use the contact below to exercise them.

12

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy as our practices evolve. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new “Effective” date, and when required, we will notify you by email or on-site banner.
